6 months+ wait for a CPS decision

Has anyone else had this? My ex finally had his second interview (after a fifteen month wait) over six months ago now. The OIC is incredibly uncommunicative, but we understood it then went to the CPS reasonably promptly. But nothing. The OIC either ignores the solicitor's emails completely, or gives a PFO reply. Its extremely draining. The ex's forensics report 'only' turned up a small number of deleted images, but I know neither of those factors necessarily means much in terms of charging. Its just crap.
