I don’t come here very often anymore, but I wanted to share some happy news. My partner has now completed one year of his 2 yrs community order. His probation officer, who was honestly a nightmare at the beginning is now very happy with his progress.

We recently had a meeting all together, and the officer said he doesn't considers my partner a risk at all. He still has one more year to go, but hearing that from someone that has the duty or rehabilitation and also protecting other was such a relief and a moment of real hope.

My partner has worked so hard to face what led him to his offence, the burnout, the silence, the emotions he didn’t know how to express. After more than a year without work, and feeling hopeless, he’s finally found a new job. It’s far from home, so we’ll see each other only every two weeks for now, but that’s okay. It’s part of the rebuilding and temporary.

I feel deeply grateful for how things have calmed and settled. It feels like slowly, piece by piece, we are building a new life, one with honesty, awareness, and strength. It wasn’t easy, and i remember all the horrible dark days, fear, and heartbreak. But I made it through, and I’ve grown stronger than I ever thought I could.

To anyone still in the middle of it, please don’t lose hope. Keep fighting for yyourself. If you decide to stay, yes do not forget about yourself, to love and take care of your mind, your body, your heart. Healing takes time, but it comes. You are stronger and braver than you know <3
