Absolutely fed up with SS

After posting a few days ago about SS closing our case, we went to our conference review and they completely changed their mind! The independent assessment commissioned during the PLO was not shared with everybody and they blamed us for that. Even though my OH is low risk and I'm protective they have extended the CPP by 6 months. They are now saying that's because we need to think about future planning etc.. I'm absolutely devastated on how they can treat people like this. Prior to the conference, the SW wrote in black and white that the case is being closed as there is no further work needed and intervention is now disproportionate xx
Im so sorry about the outcome.
Have they given a specific reason as to why they have extended as they have to have evidence of risk of significant harm.
My OH has been assessed as low risk by a specialist and we are being stepped down in December with him transitioning home over the next 4 weeks.

No- they just said because they need to know what our future plans are. We said a couple of times in the conference that the threshold of significant harm is not met and they just weren't having it. Really don't know what to do xx
Are you able to get legal advice?
I agree with GettingBy about taking legal advice if you can. It sounds like SS are just making up the rules as they go along.
I've tried the legal route before, before we went to PLO. It's really hard to find a solicitor who will get involved pre-PLO. I did find one who was willing to help and charged me £180 per hour just to send a letter to push for answers and then the LA didn't have the curtesy to respond. Ombudsman are now involved and got the local MP involved xx
Has your oh had a specialist forensic assesment? Mine did and it did the world of good in helping the social worker get on our side.
But he got low risk so he helped himself too.

Who commissioned and paid for the risk assessment?
Yes we had assessments done during the PLO process- my capacity to protect and risk of sexual harm on my OH. I'm protective and my OH's risk is low. Social worker wrote in her report that the threshold of significant harm is not met and the conference chair went against it. They absolutely need naming and shaming x
That's so wrong, it has to be unanimous vote where mutliple people have to agree. Who else voted? I would definitely seek legal advice, ring all the solicitors you can
The only people in our core group are the school, probation and the social worker. The school and probation voted to keep the CPP in place and they haven't seen the risk assessment as the authority would not share it with them. They said it's our responsibility to share. It's all so corrupt it's unbelieveable! X
