Anyone else think these groups should be stopped from posting peoples pictures and leave it to the police
Yes hand all the information into the police and let the police do their jobs
The people who come to doors knocking need stopping and the MPs should stop them .
We need to protect all children every child needs protection .it's not the child's fault a family member as done this
It's just more children getting damaged but by people who know what will happen just had the information packs into the police why their need to be the big men and women

Yes, it's absolutely awful, and destroys lives (multiple lives, not just the perpetrator), there is also a high chance of error as they often go by rumour. I think it's disgusting. And the vigilante action has been the hardest part of the whole situation for me personally. As people would for any other sort of crime, if you have concerns, report to the police and let them do their jobs. Vigilante action makes the police's jobs harder too x
My person as list his job so money wise had to be bailed back to my house IAM scared that these groups will report where he is and their are starting to get people to protest to get people out of property

I totally agree. There is absolutely no thought about the fallout from their actions. The police are there to do the job. By all means gather evidence but then hand it to the relevant agencies.

The way their swear and call them and us family names come on my property which is private property and filmed and up loaded it on Facebook with out my permission as me and my children have to live their in fear now I half own the house

I wonder if anybody who has been caught by vigilante sting and has had it streamed or details posted online has taken it to court and argued it prevents them receiving a fair trial.

The group of thugs who came to our home for my autistic son (who they never got their hands on) were aggressive, sweating and threatening and a public nuisance running up and down our little road banging on all our neighbours doors (9 o clock at night ). The police allowed them to livestream his arrest and removal. They got lots of likes and the police got lots of praise !! Even the judge said they were disgusting yet still it is allowed to happen! One of the group even came back and apologised for his 'colleague's' aggression !
Poppy2323 - I doubt it's a business persay but I would imagine some of the groups supporters donate money to them to cover the various expenses incured.

These groups normally put on posts about the families but it doesn't make a blind bit of difference it's a blanket crime until they either educate people or change the law these groups will continue and people will continue to judge the media exposure is the most damaging of all in this dreadful situation to the families, I have gone through every emotion in this and still come back if oh hadn't clicked on a link in a porn site in the first place we would not be in this place, he watched porn, he then joined kik he clicked a link seen.the image deleted kik never to be visited again all proven by cyber expert in court, 5 images found guilty due to not reporting it and just puting it to the back of his mind, 1 year on sor 180 hours community service, we are 9 months past conviction spent so 21 months since it went in local paper, I will never forget that week we literally locked ourselves away came off all social media if i couldn't read it I couldn't be hurt by it, after the week my daughter went to school I returned to work and it was actually ok, daughter had one person say something to her at school but school reacted immediately and she had nothing but support from her friends, I work in the community and have had no repercussions, I imagine there have been a few mumbles but not a thing said to me, one neighbour doesn't talk to oh but talks to me and we simply have to respect their choices in all this, our group may be a little smaller but its quality over quantity now more than anything those who matter will be around your table.

This group turned up at my door 3 yrs ago. They filmed my OH for 3.5 hrs and tried to get into my home to look for evidence.
He thought he was talking to a minor and it was a 18 day conversation. It was inappropriate but there was no pictures or requests to meet on his part. Evidence showed that when he tried to cut contact he was pulled back in again and they even tried to get him to meet and asked for pics! When that didn't work they set up another profile of an adult women and asked where he lived on the pretext of wanting to get to know him better. My OH gave out our address and they turned up.
I never knew anything of this until the knock and to say i was angry and hurt is a understatement. My OH has no criminal record and he was an alcoholic when all this happened (This is no way me making a excuse for his behaviour).
They asked to look in my home for evidence and I said No. They wouldn't let him back in the house and one of the group was in his face screaming at him like he was hoping my OH would hit him (thankfully he didn't)
When the police came and arrested him, one group member said "2 down today ain't too bad". She acted like this was a game
It was broadcast live on Facebook and the said not to attack the family! I woke up the next day to a range of messages from asking me out (yes really) to being threatened with being raped and set on fire! Someone from that group even messaged me to see if I was ok!
I had no support from Police or Facebook and all this was allowed to take place. Police said we was lucky as our house number and street road hadn't been shown!
This group put it on every social media platform you can think off and Tik Tok, X and especially You Tube was great at removing it quickly. In retaliation, this group reposted it on Facebook. Facebook was no help at all even when I showed evidence of threats
My OH was at a police station for 3 hrs and for the next 2 yrs the police barely contacted us. I had to chase them to see what was happening with the case.
Personal opinion is if you have evidence go to the police but these groups work on fame and shame. More should be done to protect the victims of this and by victim I mean me! I was the one that had the abuse and threats-there was no child. I don't look at myself as a victim by any means but the only innocent one was me.
