So thinking ahead an thinking if our sons are to meet someone what do they do! How is it fair to get with someone knowing you are a sex offender? And how do you tell someone early on about what you have done ? They can then spread it. Then on the flip side if you was the girls parents an she came home an said that boy I'm seeing as told me he's a sex offender but this this an this an she wanted to still see him give him a chance what would you say to that?? I'm just so worried of this happening an keeps going round in my head.

In an ideal world, if the offender displays complete openness and honesty in all things and does not try to minimise or ignore what he has done, then the gf and her parents will see he is trustworthy. If he can also show the steps he has made and is continuing to make (courses, therapy, internet use being monitored, etc) to change his behaviour they will be more willing to trust him and know he is a different person now, i would think.
Hi,
I know someone who was convicted of an offence and on the register for 10 years. He was 19/20 at the time of the offence and was almost at the end of his time on the register when my friend met him. He disclosed within a few months of meeting her and they have been together for 10 years now and have children together with no issues and minimal involvement from ss when pregnant xxx
