We just arrived back from holiday and my daughter got a letter from her husband saying he has his old phone number and could she contact him to discuss the children.
Bearing in mind she never heard a word from him for the last 17 weeks. He was remanded in prison for 7 and has been out for 10 weeks.
He was supposed to be under a 2 year supervised contact with children . Now he's telling her today that it might be that the contact can be supervised by him mum and stepdad.
Surely this can't be right and who can help us find out as is no longer under social worker care.
Any thought would be appreciated as my daughter is distraught.

Hi,
what does your daughter want to happen? I take from your post that she would have concerns around his family supervising contact? She can contact social services and tell them that she has received the letter requesting contact and she'd like some advice from them. Does she feel that any contact would be detrimental to the children? Is this purely related to his offending or are there other concerns? Do his mom and stepdad see the children (since the offence)?
To be honest I've not heard the contact clause of any SHPO being described in the same way (2 year supervised contact), is this what you meant? Or is it family court who recommended 2 years supervised contact? If it was family court then really they should have specified who could supervise contact or if it should take place in a contact centre xxx
