Hello! Its been nearly 3 months since police initially came and arrested my partner at the time. We have a baby together and have completed SS assessments and I am able to supervise visits.

If my ex partner is to be charged. Does anyone have any experience on what happens after with SS? Can I still supervise or will it be contact centres? He has admitted having indecent images of children via kik app to police and SS, so we are all aware.

Thank you

Hi,

since everyone is aware of the likely charges then supervision should be fine to continue as it has been when charges are brought. Ss may call you to make sure you're fully aware of the charges, plea and sentencing when each one occurs. This varies a lot between each local authority but since you underwent an assessment to be able to supervise this shouldn't be impacted xxx

My husbands been charged and I am still able to supervise. We went from a CIN to a CPP recently but that hasn't meant I cant supervise. Theyre all waiting to see what the court states his sentence will be. Once that happens things may or may not change. They'd only change if the court decided he cant see his child
