The end of my journey, time to say goodbye

Hi everyone,
I never thought I'd be writing this but it's all over. We are at the end and we have come out the other side.
SS have finally closed this week, just waiting for our confirmation letter. I'll give a brief rundown of our story.
June 24 we got the knock, SS did their assessment and closed with safety plan in place in August. Bail conditions were then changed at his 3 month bail to allow him home with the approval of SS. This triggered another assessment and a horrible SW. I endured her from early October to February, she told us he would be allowed home and then right before Christmas said he's not and we were going in a CIN plan.
CIN plan was from February until November, planned and unannounced visits from my SW. Monthly CIN meetings and each of us had a risk assessment. He was deemed low risk and me a protective parent.
June 25 we got NFA and all devices back. SS wouldn't let him home despite no bail conditions in place. We had to do a phased return starting with unsupervised in the community, then unsupervised at home during the day and then overnight.
We had our last visit on Monday and we are done. It's been a tough tough road and I do like to think I've gone full circle and helped a couple of people as I was helped. I've made a couple of friends from here and we chat a lot and have helped each other through.
I've got a stage 2 independent complaint regarding our horrific SW then it's over.
I want to close this chapter now and start my life again. So this is goodbye and I wish everyone who finds themself on this path the best of luck and the best of outcomes. Look after yourselves, I promise the sun does shine again.

I'm pleased that you are out the other side. I wish you every happiness for the future xxx
Really hope I can write this one day. My OH's bail conditions were lifted in June 2024 and SS will not let him live at the house despite him having no SHPO or SOR conditions *sigh*. Really pleased for you though :) xx
Fantastic news. I too hope to write this one day. Onwards & upwards x
