It has been some time since I last did a Friday check in, and reading the forum there are so many new names (heart breaking to see)
So HC will be unfamiliar to you but for those who do remember I just wanted to send an update on how he is doing
He has done extremely well with his degree studies, module 2 passed with a distinction his Tutor is really pleased in how he has been able to adapt (considering the restrictions in prison)
He is looking so well and the most important factor is he his MH is stable, (as a mum that is all I can hope for)
Food is still a huge factor as he has an eating disorder, and still remains to survive on his canteen,
As we get ready for another Christmas on this journey we have learned to adapt and take each day at a time
Even though I am no longer a regular poster on here i do drop by now and again and my heart really does go out to you all
No matter what stage you are all on, remember just how strong and amazing you are
You will get through this horrendous journey

So lovely to see your post, and bring back memories every friday. I am so glad HC is doing well, and that his MH is improving.
It is so sad to see so many new people here, but it is so great to have this forum. I certainly have needed it many times, and glad it is still helping people.
I am off to a christmas market this weekend. I love the run up to Xmas. But know it is sad for alot of people. But we are all here if you need us.

All quiet this week, nothing from CPS, not even had anything formal from police or solicitor on bail documents even though verbally confirmed until Feb next year..
Autism assessment in progress, so that's going forward..
Son really benefiting from starting to play football again, doesn't seem as lonely.. just has this sword hanging over him.. hopefully it doesn't take him back ten steps..

my son was rebailed till February we got all the paperwork at the police station and the solicitor sent paperwork the following week. Do the police have evidence yet? They are still looking at my sons phone they did a partial extraction and found nothing. Now have threatened my son with a RIPA to make him hand passwords over, which we'd already agreed to do but they seem to have forgotten that! So our solicitor has advised us not to hand the passwords over as they haven't followed protocol. They have to prove they have exhausted every avenue of getting the evidence before applying for a RIPA. I'm at a loss with this as we offered the passwords we just have to hope the solicitor knows what he's doing!

I'm new on here so don't know your case but glad to hear I'm taking it your son is doing ok. Was he at university when he was sent to prison or has he started studying in prison?
it's good to hear from people who have reached a conclusion o this nightmare, it feels like there's no end in sight for us at the moment cx

No he started his degree while in prison, it keeps him occupied and has done amazingly well x

He has had the second interview and all evidence passed to CPS 2 months ago.. should have attended bail mid November but police called to say they had not heard from CPS and they were extending bail, so no need to attend.. just thought they should have sent his new bail form to him... not sure on protocol...

Oh upset! My old friend on here. I rarely come on and post either but your message made me so, I don't know, proud of your both as we know each others journeys. You must be so... not sure if the word, validated? By this?
We've had some tough times between us all along with cooing laughter moments. So glad he's doing well. Hope the fur baby's are too. Sending you both love x
