Scared and lost

Its been 2.5 weeks since the knock and I am terrified. We have social services coming to evauate out home to see if husbands needs to move out. We have no idea what they have found - all that we have been told is there is CP on a device related to my husband. I am scared, not eating, smoking too much and finding it hard to get out of bed. My husband is no threat to our son and he will be completely destroyed of his Dad is forced to move out and guilty. Some days I feel like I would be better dead.
I'm so sorry you're going through this. It must be incredibly overwhelming for you as you try to take in what has happened. There is no right or wrong way to deal with those early days and whatever you're feeling right now is ok.
This is far easier said than done but try to focus on one day at a time rather than overthinking about the future and try to look after yourself as the journey you've found yourself on takes a slow lonely one.
You're not alone, we're here to hold your hand and walk your journey with you. If you haven't already done so you might want to contact the helpline and reach out to your GP for support.
You might not believe it right now but you won't always feel this bad, eventually you'll come through this, I promise.
