Hi we had the knock last June my son was arrested and charged for downloading thousands of indecent images of children also videos the final court date is not long away I'm just numb going through all the emotions
He has learning difficulties and I am supporting him iv only told a few family members and a close friend who are very support. Iv got used to the idea that it might be a custodial sentence.. I'm so glad that I found this site it's so helpful knowing I'm not alone and it helps me to try and think positive

Hi Star, so sorry you have found yours too in this position. I've found the forum so helpful, just knowing there are others out there who understand seems to make a difference and make me feel supported.
I hope your sons learning disabilities will be taken seriously. Make sure your solicitor knows about it, and if you have any paperwork stating his difficulties make sure someone sees them.
It's a terrible thing to go through, we're all supporting you. Have you used the helpline at all? They're very practical and helpful and always read to listen.

Thankyou Ann P yes he has got reports on his difficulties and his solicitor has arranged for another specialist to see him for more reports solicitor is very understanding of his difficulties I no he's aware of how serious it is now but it's hard to no what's goin on in his head.
We have been in touch with adult disability team and they are able to support too its just having to go through all this realising maybe he should of had help before. I feel so sad for these children words can't describe... Iv read a few forums on here and there are so many strong women thankyou xx
