im new here. Scared of writing things down and saying it out loud. Wanted to hear about others experiences of these "random" chat rooms? How did your persons end up being caught - were they regular chat users eg Chat IW ? From what I hear- a lot of people are caught out by decoys eg asking men to move onto other chat platforms I.e move from random chat sites over to things like KIK/whatsapp so they can be traced more quickly?

My son was commucation with two vilantes decoys

so were these images that he sent or received? Was this in the chatroom or did he use a messaging service?

Mine was caught on kik
but I suspect it started on general social media apps where he was then introduced to other sites.....
he had tried to delete apps and come off social media in the past/run up to being caught. Was arrested for conversations with decoy and later found images (no trace where from).
it's possible he was lured elsewhere to be trapped as you suggest....but I think in our case it's more likely it was an attempt to cover his tracks or genuinely quit his risky behaviour. Just my opinion; but they've got to be looking at some dodgy content or risky search criteria to end up in this situation and for us to be on this forum.
Im a social media and messaging person, I've watched streamed stuff before, I've shared photos using messaging & am a regular internet shopper and never come across this stuff. I don't think it's hard to find....but you've still got to be looking in certain areas to find the breadcrumbs.
Often it's used to catch out lonely young men or those with learning difficulties or neurodiverse who don't fully understand the risk or have the ability to read the situations. The education needs to be around how high risk anything like this is and to avoid all avenues that can lead to this behaviour....but easier said than done.
