No Outcome

My ex was liberated without any conditions when the knock happened in November 2023.
apart from the police officer contacting me and asking if I could provide clarification on where he was at the time, we have heard nothing.
He chased his solicitors at the two year mark and they have said to assume no news is good news. They wouldnt recommend chasing. Also said that it may be he won't hear anything at all but they also wouldn't advise no further action as they will want to keep it in abeyance in case anything else happens.
Has anyone experienced this?
We are separated but we have a young child, which the outcome will effect. Obviously if NFA for the child that's the best possible outcome but I also feel if convicted he can move on but if it just hangs there in the background it could stop him from doing so many things in the future.

It could still happen: hope it is nfa for you. My person heard nothing, for well over 4 years. Eventually the charges came, and they didn't go to prison by the skin of their tweth.
