Hi don't want to be nosy but how long from the initial police contact did you get to this stage.

Our journey started 14th December 2025 3 phones still currently under forensic examination out of all the devices taken. Got a call today with an update, currently OH can see child with supervision and not stay in the house over night. SW comming on Friday for an update, should alarm bells be ringing badly as they are waiting to come see me if anything was majorly serious then OH I presuming they would what to see me ASAP and not wait. All in limbo and struggling to talk to anyone about things.

Hey! I have heard about the SHPO thing but haven't looked into it much.

We are 1.5 years after sentencing. We had no media and honestly I was checking for weeks, when it hit a month I kinda pushed it to one side and nothing has come out since!

Life gets better, for me it did anyways. OH had probation once a week for a month and then he saw her ever 4 weeks after that. Done RAR days with the probation officer and his last appointment is next week with her. He has seen his OIC a handful of times - when he registered at the station, when we moved homes and done a check to make sure the flat was okay and another time when he done an unannounced visit. We have been only holiday aborad, and booked another - so life can still go on!

OH done courses before he was sentenced and wasn't asked to do anything else, just RAR days with PO.

I hope that you can breathe now, just try and relax and give yourself time x

Oh and @Poppy2323 - my OH was sentenced at crown court. It don't always mean prison x

Well done Tallulah - mine was in the papers (well online) within a few days.. I also have heard about applying to court after 5 years to reduce a 10 year SHPO, no idea how often it is granted though

Poppy - crown court doesn't necessitate prison, it means a longer suspended sentence can be given which was the case in 'my' case
