Hi Poppy2323,

Mine was also sent to crown, it was cancelled once (nature of crown court apparently) but second time it went ahead. Got full sentence on that day plus SHPO conditions, amount of costs to pay, appointment for probation etc. My person took a prison bag and I had his phone/keys etc. in case but luckily wasn't needed. Good luck x

I am just so scared of all of this the magistrates court no press does this mean it won't go in the papers , as it's on for crown court as well vxx

I didn't do a character reference, but I can't see how it could hurt. Both magistrates and crown made the media unfortunately in 'my' case, for magistrates there was no press in the court but in the crown court I was sat near them and just wanted to scream at them to leave us alone. Hopefully if it states restrictions you will be lucky! It is incredibly scary, I'd suggest preparing for the worst but, of course, hoping for the best. The guidance is for shorter sentences to be suspended, and reduction for pleading guilty x

My OH didn't take a prison bag (his solicitor and barrister said there was no need) but I had one in the car just in case lol.

I done a character reference, along with his mum, his aunt, my mum and my sister - these were mentioned by the judge and went in his favour.

Hope this helps x

Our soclitor as said it would be sensible to take a bag

We are going to take a bag . And do character references

He's got is pre sentence report tomorrow I wonder if we get to know if it's a good one their have written and what their recommended

I am just so scared and freaked out about going about the news papers about everything I will be the only one going so I left on my own walking away if he goes to prison that's the worst part , thanks all xx
