so I had a follow up with the social worker and police on the 9th January I think it was, to give an update as to what the next steps are as 2 more images were found on a phone(not photos, downloads/clicked links) bail conditions as per his arrest not to be unsupervised with under 18'e no staying at the home address over night can continue life as 'normal' whilst investigation is going on. SW was meant to go visit my youngest at school the Tuesday after the visit to the house nothing has happened they haven't been to the school to see her(much to her disappointment as she was looking forward to missing Spanish) I'm just wondering if this is normal, no text to advise that she couldn't make it due to being ill ect. I know the SW was happy with how we are sticking to the rules but just find it strange that she has said they are vising and haven't

Ive had quiet a few SS meetings canceled due to sickness. They should before going and seeing your child ask your permission. Every time they see my daughter at nursery they always ask prior usually the day before, ive had a few calls asking if that day was okay. Ive had a few where they say they will visit that week and havent. I usually then get a last minute meeting booked in a few days later so they can see my daughter. Its all a bit slap dash really
I've heard nothing and no text to say they couldn't attend due to being ill. Which I would of thought they would especially as my daughter is 12 so had got herself prepared for someone to come in take her out of class ect. I appreciate something more serious might of come up to as we wouldnt just be the only ones on there case load but just find it odd no contact at all.
I do know a lot of SS workers are run off their feet in a lot of areas so that may not be helping.
Hopefully theyre more transparent in the future. If not request that they are on the basis of trying to minimalise distruption to your child education.
