Husband was arrested May 2024 for 1 cat b image, had no knowledge of this. Bail extended every three months up until the year mark in which OIC tried to extend bail further to November 2025, thankfully solicitor got this changed to RUI and allowed home May 2025. Social services closed the case and allowed him back with safety plan. Solicitor said to try and carry on and live life as best we can, haven't heard from them or OIC since. Husbands mental health had deteriorated, crisis team involved and therapist weekly and doing a little better. Surely some movement will start happening soon? Coming up to the two year mark and everything is just on hold, paused... life is still going on but we are just stuck waiting. Anyone else experiencing this or similar? For context we're in south east x

I hate to say this but you might have another year to wait. In our case husband arrested in Feb 23. Fast forward autumn 2025, finally called to retrieve the items they confiscated that they no longer need. Then in January 2026, finally received charges. So nearly a three year wait. Similiar area to you.
It's so difficult not to put your life on hold. We've had this hanging over us for nearly three years. Situation has moved, finally, but we're still not through the other side yet and dreading what this year is going to bring.
All we can do is keep going and try to stay strong x
