Sorry- can't offer any advice but have you rang the helpline? I know they do courses for family members affected. I have rang a number of times and found them lovely and very helpful.

Best of luck to you both.

Sorry Nd that you are going through this, as am I. Support is really lacking - let's hope the push to have children of offenders recognised as victims is successful to unlock more support. I've had to fight for support for mine, luckily with a supportive school, community counselling and a proactive mental health nurse at our surgery, I have been able to find an outlet for my teen. Have you tried asking for a referral to your local CAMHS?

Hi Nd, sorry your teen is having such a difficult time. I am a mum of two now 10 and 6 and can see how things will be tricky again as they work through things when they are old enough to understand their dad's offending.

Just wanted to say in the Updates section of the forum there are some new resources for teens with links to an animation and a parent guide which might be helpful for you and your teen.

Hope you have some support for you too, it takes a lot to keep rolling with the punches along this journey...and teenage years are hard at the best of times, all the best xx
