Finally got the charges through recently. That was a shock to the system even though you know it's coming at some point.

Horrified by the findings. I don't want to go into detail right now but it was worse that I had been led to believe.

Wondered - has anyone's person ever challenged and got any charges dropped? Or if you disagree is it always a case of having to plead not guilty and go through the trial system? I'm guessing (obviously) but wonder if the images are of women who look young/immature for their age, do the CPS always assume the worst? Whatever happened to "beyond reasonable doubt"? Or is that a matter for the defence lawyer to argue?

Right now, I'm terrified that once friends find out about this I will be looked down on for staying with my person. Some friends know some of it, others none, but once the details become public, I feel I will be dropped like a stone by everyone. I'm terrified I will find myself alone.

My brother is going through similar. He has a collection of porn downloads from porn hub and screen shots off other legal sites, including screenshots of topless girls on only fans who have just turned 18. He is terrified that at least something will come under debate. His device data is currenly under "review"

Seems like in the eyes of the police/cps world , if she looks underage then SHE IS underage.

It makes you wonder how many images on the CAID database are actually of adults.

A lot of cases dont get noticed by the media so people may not find out.

I think you can only contest the charges if they plea non guilty. Youd need proof to contest it and it may not change much about the sentence given. I would personally talk to a lawyer fot advise on that one
