For context ex received charges July 2025. No longer together and I supervise contact.

If I approached SS to assess whether he could have unsupervised contact in public what would happen with SS etc? im reluctant to get back in contact regarding this but feel like this is something that would be good going forward.

Hi,

Has he been sentenced? You may find it easier with ss if unsupervised is supported by probation and visor as they can provide a professional opinion of the risks posed.
If the children are old enough to be aware of the situation or at least have a good understanding of what is acceptable and what should be disclosed to yourself or a trusted adult this is also helpful.
My partner has been approved for unsupervised by ss since last February. We have done things very gradually as our daughter is only 4 and has never known unsupervised. We were supported by his visor and probation had left a report when he finished his time with them. It had also been 4 years since sentencing. I'd created a plan for unsupervised contact and the allocated sw was happy that unsupervised contact was something we had both put a lot of thought into. Happy to share the plan with you via messages if you'd like it xxx
