Media Coverage Experience - Social Media and/or News

As we get closer to court, I wondered if people could share any experiences of social media and/or news for charges purely for images?
Are images less likely to attract attention from the media and the social media "keyboard warriors" if there's no contact or communication?

Unfortunately I feel any type of sexual offending involving children seems to get the same response from the public especially online/social media. Especially with the charge of 'making' as most people don't know what it means. Mine was making/possessing, no sharing, no communication. 2 different news reports from both court appearances, which was then shared from Facebook 'news' pages to others and into local fb groups. The comments were vile. It's best to be prepared for the worst but hope for the best. The reports contained name, street name, town, no photos (seems to be dependent on police form whether they release a mug shot). Best of luck
You can help to prevent the social media pages scouring for your photos by ensuring your privacy settings are locked down on your own, family and your persons page (mine deleted theirs completely). I notice that stories with pictures attached garner far more attention. In a time where you can't control much, this is something you can do.
We had social media at first magistrates appearance, several dates since and nothing else has come up again, but I'm sure it will as we're not done yet, but I live in hope. Local paper reported twice so far. The editor of my local paper was amenable to printing solicitors address instead of our own for the sake of my children, which was something.
