Devices back from forensics, how long did it take you?

Hello, Word came to my brother this morning is that devices had completed their forensic examination in September last year. They found alot of data which is under review. None of the devices have been offered to return yet so does this mean theyve found illegal things considering "its under review"? Does this mean they are reviewing illgal activities? How long did others get devices back after forensic examination was complete? Getting quite nervous now since its been four months, surely if nothing found then they would have been returned by now?? They have devices incapable of storing images such as bluetooth headphones and a 1970s radio.

I know it's different for everyone but my OH didn't get his devices back till after sentencing - only one had any evidence on - they kept them all anyway.
I assume it would depend on what has been found - images need to be counted and categorised - the more images the longer it will take. And bear in mind that there is likely only one or two people dealing with hundreds of devices per force.
