It's horrific isn't it - how is your experience with SS?

Hey,

I think I can t help much with specific advice as I live outside UK. My person just got arrested in UK (had lived there a while too).

So for me it is quite the opposite experience from what other forum users report. SS were not aware of the offence, I had to ask them to get involved and bring them all the paper.

SS were very friendly and want to help me. After I rang them first they basically asked me to just come over without appointment. So my experience so far is quite positive.

I haven t decided if I will try to rebuild my relationship but for now I "unregistered" my person from our adress. So I asked SS what my chances would be in case I decide to cut ties regarding getting custody or restricting contact. My worker said if it s not a contact offence my chances would be very low... So as much as SS seem to be a pain in the back for some users here on the forum, I think the UK approach does have some benefits towards the mothers. But maybe that s just me thinking the grass is greener on the other side.
