Just wondering how many of these conservative male MPs and RW journalists who are raging about Starmer for his appointment of someone who he knew to be friends with a known "P" are regular viewers of online porn? I hate it all. The double standards. It's not so long ago that the media set all laughed about "Randy Andy". This abuse of women and girls is a societal problem. Time the world woke up.

I'm very much not a fan of porn generally, but I don't think viewing legal content can be compared with what Epstein got up to. Also its not just 'right wing' journalists getting stuck into Starmer, Mandselson is crooked & already widely disliked (why did he appount him?) and Starmer was on thin ice anyway. His poll ratings have been awful for a while. As for being friends with Epstein, was there any indication at all that any of these 'friends' challenged him about his behaviour or encouraged him to actually take responsibility? IIRC emails indicate that everyone was "oh you poor thing. Its so unfair"

I agree, Epstein's crimes are terrible and on a different level to watching porn but my point was around the double standards in society. The rich and powerful saw what he was doing for years but no one called him out. I saw Prince William with the Saudi prince yesterday- yes the one who had Kishoggi the journalist killed. Why do the media not challenge that? So much corruption everywhere but we only start shouting about it when everyone else does. You're right though it's not just those on the right shouting about Epstein. It's the double standards all round- exploitation and trafficking or porn. It's all exploitation.

There are numerous examples of double standards. The Sun used to publish pictures of topless 16 year olds, which by their measure, would make them and their readers p words too, but funnily enough, they do not mention that.
