Our forensics phycologist assessments via LFF have had to be canceled because someone in SS didnt send the paper work despite being chased for it. I am so, so very angry right now. We recently had our SW changed to the senior SW so I do wonder if things will get better. Its not even the first time SS have messed up they had things on our file not to do with us and theyve gotten paper work wrong more then once for CPP meetings
I'm so sorry and understand how frustrating it can be plus how these errors are made so often and maybe there's a bit of an oops sorry (if you're lucky) and then on they go with life whilst we are left with the consequences which are usually more than a small inconvenience, as in your case. We had it right through our son's 3 years waiting for charges and sentencing from the OIC and CPS, and then from the court system itself and you end up feeling so angry and powerless. Here's hoping that the new senior SW got the job because of being thorough and careful.
Hey rainyday52. Its hard to have faith in a system to do the right thing when errors are made more then once. We have had names on official paper work not to do with us, incorrect accusation and then incorrect charges. Theyve written theyre worried he will show her porn again but there is zero proof he has ever done that (also no chance for him to have done it) its just assumed due to the porn addiction. Our whole CPP is all geared around him not harming her again and preventing him harming her again in future. Which is always hard to hear. I get their angle its just not nice to hear every 10 days.
I forgot to add. My husbands is post sentence, he has no restrictions with under 18s now. We are still living under bail terms though until these assessments are completed because we respect everyone's concerns and wish to move at a pace all professionals are happy with. This is the main reason I am so angry! This is setting us back potentially months!! How are SS allowed to fail so badly, ive been waiting a long time for these assesments. This is affecting my daughter and her future and thats what really, really angers me. I am doing my utmost to ensure she doesn't get abandonment issues and BPD (common with childhood trauma). Im going to be chasing this paperwork like a hawlk now. If its not sent within two weeks im putting an official complaint in as theyve had nearly 4 months to do it prior to cancellation.
