So me and my now ex husband separated back in September after he was caught with a device he was not allowed. He's in temp accommodation which means he gets his rent, utilities and council tax paid for him. I have the kids. I've applied for child maintenance. I'm anxious because I know he will not take that well and will possibly stop seeing our children (supervised contact) and he will try make my life hell. To add insult to injury, he's already moved on but he's not disclosed to her about his conviction.
So it sounds to me that if he was on a device he was not meant to be on. This might be the second time he has offended in which case you and your children are probably better off without him especially as he has already moved on, he could not have thought that much of you or your children. Sorry to sound harsh as for his new partner the police should inform her of what he has done. This is like a safety barrier in case he doesn't tell Her what he has done and in case he doesn't tell her the truth plus if she has children in which case she really needs to know as for the child maintenance you're entitled to it. He has a responsibility towards those children so please don't feel guilty about asking for maintenance. I don't know whether he's working but if he's getting everything free then he does need to step up and pay for something, especially towards his children like I said sorry if I've been harsh, but Unfortunately your ex needs to face the reality hope you're okay and please give yourself some self love and look after yourself and your children. not harsh at all. He hasn't informed the police that he is seeing this woman. He hasn't told her anything. I do know she doesn't have children. He's 43. She's 29.
