I'm just wondering how many of you have been made aware of your person offending by PHG?

I found out online, having to watch the 45 minute live video of my person admitting everything he'd done. We don't live in the same city.

I had called the police in his area the day after and asked for a welfare check as not hearing from him was unheard of. They told me "he's an adult and he probably just doesn't like you or doesn't want to talk to you anymore". He must have been in custody at the time, cruel way to treat someone who has no idea what's happened to their best friend.

I'm just wondering how people cope with having to watch them be questioned like this. Seeing the comments. Finding out exactly what they said or did, all on social media.

Hey,

sorry this happened to you too. And I m sorry for the shitty comment you got from police when you must have been really worried.

I became aware pretty much the same way. My person was my partner and travelling the days of offence and arrest. After on a Saturday morning my messages didn t go through anymore I got worried. I waited some hours, called everyone I thought could know something, took a plane the next day, drove around the area I expected him to be, searched him eveeywhere like a maniac. I thought he was dead. At night I googled his name and the city and the video of that vigilante raid and the "arrest poster" popped up... I never managed to watch more than the first few minutes, it broke my heart.

Again really sorry you find yourself here, sending you my best wishes

PHG turned up at our home back in September - I only watched the video a few weeks ago as I couldn't bring myself to it

The "arrest poster" really cut deep for me too. I had nausea for nearly a week after that. it's so weird to see someone you love represented that way. The comments were awful too but i can't say I'm surprised.

The police have been all around ***** terrible about the whole thing. It was awful for them to say that knowing that he's in custody.

I know what PHGs are doing is very well supported and even myself I felt like they were doing a good job but I don't think they consider how it affects everyone else. You might feel that the perpertrator deserves it, I don't know how I feel about that right now, but I have never felt this level of depression and terror before now.

I'm sorry you guys have to experience it too.

Unfortunately in my experience, Vigilantes are the dregs of the earth . They hounded my autistic son, entrapped him, and carried on even after he told them very early on that the was autistic and wanted a friend (as he didn't have any). They hammered on our door and all our neighbours doors to let them know. Fortunately they never interacted with him but we bore the brunt of their aggressive, bullying behaviour.

To cap it all the police allowed them to live stream him being led out . They get their likes and egos boosted by like minded people who are from the same ilk. They shouldn't be allowed to get away with their behaviour. They shouldn't present any evidence to the police and let them deal with it. They wouldn't get their likes same buzz from it then I suppose !
