I'm absolutely terrified of the idea that my OH may be sent to prison. I understand it comes down to aggravating/mitigating factors of probation report but we have always been unlucky with everything and I'm petrified. He's been charged with x4 cat A, x16 cat B, x60 cat C and x1 cat B distribution. Previous unrelated sexual offence in 2016 and was on SOR for 10 years, so this offence happened while still on SOR. He has severe mental health struggles and has attempted to end his life, he still has medical involvement and a psychologist he sees weekly. I don't think he will be able to cope if he went to prison. This is all I think about day and night to the point I can't sleep but I'm trying to be okay for our two year old :(

@Poppy. Did your person have charges for distribution and/or contact? Wondering what the liklihood is for possession only.

Mine had loads of images A,B and C sent them to others. Unfortunately because he pled guilty (30%straight off sentence) I didnt get to hear everything.

However good character references go a long way.

Or even getting therapy before court.

It does also depend on the judge Unfortunately to say.

With what little he has i cant see a prison sentence not with the prisons being as full as they are.

It may not be any good to you but I made sure my husband moved out of the county before court and he wasnt in the papers.

My ex husband has been sent back to jail today for breaking his terms of the SOR. His own stupid fault - wouldn't know the truth if it hit him in the face - but I really didn't think he would get another custodial.

My partner has his sentencing tomorrow. We've been told to take a bag, but how much stuff realistically should he take. Enough for a few days or weeks. Nobody actually gives you this information.

if anybody can offer help that would be great x

It's fine - he is an ex for a reason. I cannot forgive him for putting his poor mum through hell again. I'm well rid.
