My partner is due his sentencing court appearance tomorrow. His 1st court date last month was really quick and the judge ordered a pre sentence probation report.

He had the interview with them and they basically said the court are wanting to hand him a long custodial sentence. His solicitor has said to ignore that as he is low risk. but they rang yesterday evening to say they had received the report and it would be a challenge to keep him out of prison. Today we have spent the day sorting things out just in case today is the last time he's at home for a while.

I feel completely numb. I'm worried about him, nobody really explains the prison side of things, where he'll go, what to pack etc etc.

I'm just hoping that his solicitor works her magic.

I'm not currently working as signed of with stress and have no friends or family support as they think I'm mad for standing by him.

Not sure I have any advice as such but didn't want to just not comment.

Your emotions must be all over the place which is understandable be kind to yourself and one day at a time its such an emotional rollercoaster. Especially when the solicitor said originally said no to prison. Have they given an indication at what it could be so you can try and plan for best/worst case scenario?.

Thinking of you tomorrow. It's an impossible thought for our loved ones but reading others experiences on here, somehow it seems you get through it day by day. Let us know how you get on. Take lots of care x
