Hi, does anyone know the basics of what to expect at a second interview? I don't mean as in the outcome i mean basic things such as how long it takes? Its location?

Do they put you back into a cell to await for interviewing officers, solicitors etc? Do they take everything off you again as they do during the first arrest? Is it done at the same custody centre as the first arrest or can you opt for a more local police station??

Sorry for all the mad questions, just we haven't had any notification of any second interview yet but just want to be prepared for it.

Thanks

My OH met his solicitor at the station for his 2nd interview. He didn't have to go in a cell or anything. I seem to recall he was gone a couple of hours. He did a no comment interview. Afterwards he then had a short debrief in a separate room with his solicitor. Hope that helps.

In our case had a call from officer to invite in for further interview at same custody centre. Have 2 weeks notice which I thought seemed a long time. Probably took a couple of hours but that was more waiting around.

Was searched on arrival and taken straight to room for interview with solicitor present. Then released back on bail pending a decision from CPS.

Ok thanks. My brother was in a cell for 19 hours upon the knock. Very little water and no sleep due to constant cell checks, totally worn out and stressed with worry by the time first interview came around. The thought of being locked inside a cell again for round two is destroying him.

A stressful situation for him. Is he clased as vulnerable at all?. If you are worried about him might be worth taking him to the GP to check his mental health.

It's a very slow process while waiting for devices to be checked if that's what happening next. It could be several months until they get results for next interview etc. The officer in charge should be able to tell him and maybe the one doing bail checks etc.
