I just came to say my partner was told no further action this week. I already feel a huge weight lifted that the legal side of this has concluded somewhat.

The OIC said it was clear that this was a mistake and one he has been paying for over the last 6 months and will pay for in the way of possibly losing his job. Although he wasn't aware of age he still admitted in his initial interview that he had spoken to someone but was unaware of their age until the knock and had he known then he wouldn't have spoke.

Although he is not being prosecuted he may still need be put under a sexual risk order which is a civil matter. Basically just keeps a distant check on him to up to 2 years.

All this for a very very stupid mistake which genuinely was a mistake when it has come to light. It has effected every aspect of my life. I have lived a lie for 6 months. Our baby was born into this mess. And I am left questioning trust.

So although this is somewhat a very positive outcome for us, I still have the matter of social services and what they will now want to do going forwards. Please send any advice, I would like to start rebuilding my family and working towards a happy life.

I hope everyone else is coping well under your circumstances xx

This must be some relief for you - very pleased for you. Just need to plough through the social service side of things which I'm sure you will.

May I ask was it a real person or was it a decoy?
