NFA at last for 21yr old

I wanted to share an update in case it helps anyone else going through something similar.
After a year and two weeks of uncertainty - and a terrifying visit from police while my loved one was away at University, which left him with no means of getting home or even contacting anyone - he's been told that the police investigation has been closed with no further action. His devices were taken under warrant following a report linked to a historical Snapchat account, which had been banned suddenly without any explanation. He was under 18 then, and we’ve spent the past year not knowing whether he would be arrested, charged or called in for interview. The worst waiting game in the world.
It’s very hard to put into words how stressful and frightening this has been. It has hung over all of us every single day. I’ve honestly prayed for this outcome and longed for the moment he could finally breathe again. Watching a young person try to carry on with life while this rages around in their head has been nothing short of heartbreaking.
At the same time, I now feel a strong pull to just close the door on it and move forward. It’s a strange place to be in - relief mixed with exhaustion, and a desire to forget it ever happened.
What I do feel able to say right now is this: situations like this can arise from immature or thoughtless behaviour online, especially when young people don’t fully understand the risks or consequences. The impact, however, can be life-altering for them and their families.
I also think there are wider questions to be asked of platforms like Snapchat about how situations like this can arise, particularly where minors are involved and accounts are removed without any clarity at the time. I do feel a responsibility to do something and will reflect more on that in due course.
In the meantime, to any other parents or families currently waiting and hoping for NFA: I see you. The waiting is one of the hardest parts. Please hang in there.
For now, I just wanted to share that there can be an end to this, and sometimes it is a good one.

That is good news, it must be such a relief to finally get it over with.
We are hoping for a nfa as the police don't have any evidence and according to our solicitor it is a fishing expedition.
Wishing you and your son all the best xx

It's great to know you've had the outcome you've been praying for.
You can now take some time to heal and recover and I wish you and your son all the best.
