3 weeks since the knock

Hi everyone,
It's been 3 weeks since the knock and my life changed forever. My now ex-boyfriend who I was living with and in a relationship with for 5 years was arrested and his devices taken. Turns out he had previously been arrested and was on bail. I had absolutely no idea. The day after his arrest, he was charged in custody and has been held on remand in prison since. He has his plea hearing soon. He's insisting he is innocent but I don't believe him. He's got charges for possession and distribution of all categories and sexual communication with a child. I found letters outlining the previous charges hidden in our home. I'm only in my twenties and feel like my life has been turned into a nightmare. I loved him completely and never ever thought he would do this. We'd planned a future together. But I don't see how he could be innocent based on his charges from 4 years ago and his new charges and the letters he hid. I'm also worried about if he gets bail and if he would return to our home. If anyone can advise on what the legal process looks like from this point then I'd really appreciate it. I'm trying to get more information from the police but it's hard to maintain any contact.

Mine was my husband of 30 years I got a phone call each time he was released to ask if I would allow him home. Eventually I said no and the council had to provide him with accommodation. Not sure where I stood legally as the house was in joint names.
