My Ex was arrested March 2025 and is still on bail . His file was passed to the CPS 4th December and we are still waiting.
It's likely the CPS will charge due to the amount of images , there are thousands spanning back 30 years .
how long does it take to charge when the file is with the CPS or is it how long is a piece of string ?
I'm just wondering could we be waiting a year before they charge ?
I'm trying to not think about it but the waiting is doing my head in .

My husband was told by the police "how long is a piece of string". Ours took 3 months from going to CPS to plea hearing. CPS may have a lot of cases in your area as they deal with all sort of server crimes. That can cause a hold up. I hope you get a court date soon. Once you get that letter the next process is usually pretty quick. We only had to wait 4 weeks after plea hearing for sentencing.
