What can we expect?

We had phone call from OIC.
They found sth ( evidence of ILLEGAL CONTENT as they said over the phone ) on 1 device. They didn't tell us what device and what they found. Filet goes to CPS. For 4 weeks. Then OIC will call for another interview or to handle paperwork.
What does it mean?
I thought that second interview should be before CPS. Not after.
What can be the outcome after years of waiting?

Depending what the CPS decides to do, they may issue any charges in person at the station, or they might send them in the post. Different forces operate in different ways.
