Hey,

I haven't posted here in a while. It's been 2 years since the knock and we are still no further forward.
devices still haven't been allocated or checked, the OIC has never contacted my partner about the investigation, even after making 2 complaints to the professional standards department. Just the same shit that there's delays and backlog blah blah.

we're trying to live a normal life but at this point, we are expecting to see devices pop up on a police auction somewhere cause no one ever got round to checking them. It's pretty ridiculous. I would just like some clarity and for it to be over with of course, my family have completely disowned me because I stayed but I didn't know what else I was expected to do when it's been 2 years and I still don't have any answers.

I would just be nice if it could be over with so I know where I stand.

Hi there ! My Son's phone forensics took 2 years to come back, 3.5 yrs till the whole saga concluded . It's a cruel and horrific experience. Good luck x

This is crazy how can there be such a backlog in getting electronic devices checked. What's the situation with bail for your OH. Not sure what your situations are but it's like our whole life's are on pause and the OH is missing out as he doesn't feel he can join in with family things.

also here..... it will have been 3 years in about a week or so..... think OH has even given up chasing the police.....we haven't spoken about it over 6 months now...... the last time the police gave an update it was a non update / lie update. I used to be on this forum daily now it's monthly but I know one day my life will crash down again.

Sorry, I'm not really on this forum so much anymore, I usually come back on when I'm feeling anxious or unsettled for some reason.

My OH is not on bail, he wasn't arrested or anything either, just pending investigation so I presume he's at the bottom of the pile of everyone else waiting. We don't have any kids etc either so low risk and low priority. I had an update from the OIC recently who said that they've identified the devices and passed them off to another team because of the delay in even getting them assigned to someone.

It's absolutely ludicrous the time it's taking for them to even be assigned, I'd recommend making some complains to the professional standards as that seems to have helped maybe move things a little but still no timescales and no further updates.

Hope you're all hanging in there x
