Hi everyone, it's been a while.

So after court my partner was given a probation manager who we've had issues with from the start. Absolutely vile woman who told him he'd lose his job, end up homeless, would berate him constantly, tell him to come in for things he didn't need to come in for, even accused our relationship as being "fake".

We now have a new one after complaining, but she is also just useless. Never answers any messages or calls. We want to go away and find out where we're able to travel to outside the UK.

Things are starting to feel normal but it feels like a chain round your leg and everyone treats you like you're nothing and try to make life as difficult as possible.

I decided to stay with my OH because he didn't actively seek out anything and it was sent years ago and he's never gone on anything to seek it. The solicitors were great and wanted him to plead not guilty but we wanted it over with and couldn't afford it.

I'm just now stuck with dealing with being affected by how unfairly and inhumanely he's been treated.

At last someone else having issues with probation! You don't see much about probation on here.

We have had countless issues with my OH's probation officer, and I mean countless. I don't even know where to begin. They completely ignore independent assessments, write what they want, say what they want and get away with it. We has SS involved and the risk came back as low from an independent expert. Probation completely ignored the assessment and said we are allowed to ignore assessments not commissioned by ourselves. There was no transparency on what constituted as a RAR day and my OH's probation period got extended because they told the court he had only done 5 out of 20 RAR days when he had attended 40 probation appointments. Don't get me started on them constantly sharing the wrong offence with external agencies..including the court. They are an unbelievable service to deal with and are institutional defensive.

Then they have the cheek to challenge SS on why they are ending their involvement when probation class him as high risk. SS just hit back and said we have an evidence based assessment that says low risk. Probation are just like... yeah and!

I feel your pain xx
