My son finishes hi 2 years suspended sentence in July
Does he still have to inform car insurance, he has had criminal record
And does he have to inform new employees
As he really struggling to find a job
Or is it still not spent
He finished his probation, he getting no advice from anyone
Which is effecting is mental health

Does he have a SHPO? If he does the conviction becomes spent once that finished. If not it depneds on what the custodial length was for the two years.
I'm sorry to know your son is struggling. He would only need to inform potential employers of his conviction if they ask.

His custodial sentence was 6 months prison,but the judgave 2 yrs suspended sentence

I'm afraid that if his SHPO is for 10 years, his sentence won't be spent until that time is up. In other words, if basic DBS clearance is needed, his conviction will show for the 10 year period. But do remember that he does not need to disclose unless he is asked.
He will still need to declare an unspent conviction for car insurance etc.
