Hi everyone, my person was arrested five years ago, he denied wrongdoing and they found 1x IIOC, they returned some of his belongings but not his phone where the image was found...

What police cannot see is how the moving image ended up on his phone. They tried everything to see whether my person downloaded it or received it etc.. But there's 0 link to it..

He has swore on everything that he did not look for this image nor ever downloaded it and has no idea, says it could be from a virus.. We first waited when it hit the 4 year mark to contact the police for updates and then an officer showed up to offer a voluntary interview which my person attended last year April..

Ever since then, it's been silence again. Solicitor says the police have nothing to take to court and were banking on my person admitting to downloading the image so they can caution him but my person is adament he's innocent and never did this..

I suppose I want to know why they haven't dropped the case? At this point I don't see a judge entertaining this case that has been dragged on, and was passed on to 5 different officers because the last 4 officers stepped down..

He's got a whole different life with me now but we would randomly have this conversation at least 2-3 times a year
