Hi, we had police round yesterday and devices all searched and handed back. We got an NFA email a couple of hours later. We have no idea what has gone on. With some googling i cana ccross IP spoofing. I also came accross this forum and read a few helpful sections. Has anyone else had this happen and what happens after. We have been left confussed and a mess really. Really on the edge today. Any advice would be much appreicated

Thanks for the reply. Yes, i hope it is the end of it. It does apper to have been a compramised IP or some kind of IP spoofing. Im not technical enough to understand how this all works but a friends husband is police and he said it happens a lot more than you would think. Everything was checked and handed back and the OIC emailed a couple of hours later. We had a few email exchanges and she mentioned that if the email that linked to a kik account was not used again there is not much else they can do about it. Suggested getting a VPN for security. Its going to take a long long time to get over the shock of police coming to the home and the whole upset that has created for us, the kids and the wider family. I understand the police have to follow up on all leads though. We will be on edge forever i fear, waiting for it happening again
