Hi everyone,
I don't post much anymore as I just got too caught up in it all and it was making my anxiety worse.
Recap, my Autistic Son was arrested 11 months ago allegedly uploaded illegal video to SC back in 2024 when he was 19, phone siezed nothing found at triage - sent for forensics and was outsourced to digital forensic company in December of last year but have heard no more.
9 months police bail, then was extended by 8 weeks by court (police wanted much longer) his bail date is looming this week but we haven't had the usual paperwork to say their applying for another extension so I'm guessing they've come to a decision which I'm absolutely dreading, had an upset tummy all weekend it's too much.
I just wanted to ask if anyone has been called in prior to charge or if it just happens at the bail appointment, I think if I knew it was certainly going to happen I could prepare more - only positive I can take is that this hell of limbo will be over soon - sending love to you all xx

Hi Daisy, I’m really sorry it’s taken me a little while to read and respond to your post.
To answer your question, yes — my son was contacted by the officer in charge and asked to come to the police station for an update on his case. When he arrived, the OIC met him outside and and updated him there, which I think was his way of recognising how difficult the news was going to be for my son to hear.
He explained that the person my son had been communicating with was actually younger than she had led him to believe, and that this meant the situation — and the sentence he might be facing — was more serious than originally thought. After that, he was formally given his charges and the date for his plea hearing at magistrates’ court.
