How long for a floating trial!?

My husband was given a trial date of the 22nd June back in late August. as a floating trial, he's just found out that it's not going to go ahead Monday and must now check at 4pm every day to see if he's on the listing, how long can this typically go on!? He's booked the week off and can't book time off the day before...we are hoping to see it still go ahead next week but we don't know what to think :( we want this over after next week and an outcome decided....any experiences? All this suspense to find this out and all the uncertainty it's far too much now
official guidance suggests the floating period should be no more than 1 week, although that is not guaranteed
I sure hope so! It's unbearable not knowing what happening one day to the next :( waiting a long time for this trial now
Still nothing yet. First week is looking a no :( talk

New update. It's now August 2027, unbelievable!
That is a crazy length of time to wait!.
So basically everything on hold for another year!!
Must be such a rollercoaster of emotions.
Any chance it could be brought forward or do you just have to wait?.
