I am not sure what you are wanting insight about? He has been arrested for iioc. 16-17 year olds may be considered less serious than young children, but the legal process will be arduous, and as you have children SS will become involved.

Wondering if anyone may be able to offer any insight into what is involved in the legal process going forward?

Currently nearly 3 months in, social services assessment complete and closed.

In limbo.

All devices will have to be checked first and that can take 18 months to 2 years. After that it goes to the CPS for a charging decision which can take another few months.

Following the CPS decision he might be called to the police station for an interview or a letter with a court date will be sent in the post.

Thank you very much.

Is it difficult to know if they are going to charge at this stage? I am wondering what would prevent it.

Does the ages on the images make any difference - I am assuing not though as still underage.

No update as yet. Although it's nearly 3 months into the investigation, this thread I only have started this week.
