My ex husband is due to attend his plea hearing in 2 weeks and I just want to know what he is going to plead.
Recap my ex husband was arrested 27.6.24. My daughter was interviewed at her school by police. Since then she has had zero contact with him. He was found to have catogry A B and C images totally to near 1000 including images of my daughter ( he is her biological dad).
He was formally charged last month with Making on all catagories and extreme collection and my daughter has written a victim impact statement as in photos she was "asleep". I say asleep because there is zero chance he could have undressed her if she was only asleep. He gave a no comment interview and read a prepared statement saying "photos of her were in line with a normal family setting".
I just want justice for my daughter and I know we have waited over 2 years to get to this point but once again the waiting and not knowing is all I can think about.

Their solicitor will likely tell them to plea guilty. You get a "better" sentence if you plea guilty. If you dont enter a plea or plea innocent and they find you guilty the court does tend to hand out much harsher sentences then they would if you plea guilty, but it also depends on the area and judge. They may go to prison they may not, Category A usually comes with a prison sentence but suspended sentence is also a portential (because the prisons are so full), i just wanted to pre warn you on that one because it can feel like you havent got the justice you want for your daughter as he will still be within the community if that is his sentence.
