Notifications OFF
Because sometimes a week check in is needed. How are you doing? Me? Not good. Mentally a mess. Discovering trauma i didnt even realise I had.
Im now looking at therapy because I need to sort my head out. I need to move forwards now or i will be stuck.
Sending love and hugs to all those in the thick of it all

I've been bad too this week. My husband has been told he has a very weak chance of defending a not guilty verdict, and a much higher chance of a worse outcome if he does and is unsuccessful, and it's really hit me hard to think of him having to stand up and say he is guilty of this communications charge.
Im worried about what other people will think of me for staying with someone who is guilty of this sort of crime (whether intended or not). Im worried about retaliation and the safety of me and my children. Im just so worried about everything. And I know things are atleast drawing towards a conclusion, but the uncertainty of the future is just inducing so much anxiety at the moment.

I'm a bit of a mess aswell currently. Ex devices are getting looked at by forensics at the moment and bail up on 11 August so assuming there may be a decision on next stage with CPS at that point. So starting to worry about court and social media as in my area at the moment there is a lot being reported in Facebook for similar crimes. Also if it goes to court I am considering telling a few more of my closest friends what's actually gone on so they don't read about it if it does end up in social media. It's a hard call to make as I don't want them to read it and not know what's actually happened and be concerned about the Times they have been to my house with their children (natural parent response) nothing has happened in relation to ex and any children but I would rather they hear it from me. But then it may not end up in the media.
Been told several times by my brother and two other friends who know what's happened that it's not my fault and no one should judge me and my kids but it's so hard not to take on that burden/guilt.
I hope you can all feel a bit better soon guys as this is not a road any of us would choose to travel on and I really wish I could just get off it for a break in my head x

No end in sight for us. Bail extension recently came through for yet another three months extension via magistrates.
Even the bail extension application sheet they send doesn't include any updates in the investigation, it's just copied and pasted from the first court extension.
Devices "still under review" but nothing else written down under their timeline of the investigation , no mention of anything found so far, or any IIOC images, nor any evidence found of his allegations mentioned.

I’m holding you all in my thoughts. This is such a heavy place to stand, and the fear and uncertainty can feel endless. I remember that feeling well, the way your mind races, the way your heart aches, the way every tomorrow feels like a threat instead of a promise.
If you’re in that space now, I want you to know that, even if the outcome is the one you dread, you will survive it. Slowly, quietly, and in your own time, you will find your way through.
One day you’ll notice you’ve gone a little while without that tightness in your chest.
You’ll catch yourself singing along to a song you love.
You’ll smile at someone in passing without forcing it.
You’ll breathe a little deeper.
You’ll fall asleep without bracing for what comes next.
Life doesn’t snap back into place, it softens its edges, and you learn to walk in it again.

Ocean, I just wanted to say that over so many of the different threads I find your advice to be so kind, balanced and genuinely helpful.
It lets me know that even after going through this, there will be a life after it. I hope you and your son continue to do well, and I really appreciate you continuing to come back to the forum to help those of us still in the trenches. I hope I can do the same for others here one day.
It does show that out of horrible circumstances you can be a source of good for others, and I just wanted you to know that I appreciate it very much.

At the time you cannot see a way out of the situation. I did think of a way out - but couldn't go through with it for the sake of my kids. It takes so long to process what's gone and to get your head in a place where you can make rational decisions. But that time will come I promise you. It does take what seems like forever with all the associated highs and lows. I now look back and hardly recognise that person. But I was lucky in that I could remove myself from the situation but there are other family members who don't have this choice
