Cannot see way forward

My person had the knock a year ago. On bail as charged with distributing IIOC. One known image sent in an account set up under an old email. Devices have come back and no image on device.
Forensic search has shown some images in cache that would not have been known to person. From a site that has normal content on but has shown some IIOC.
Person is adamant that he is innocent but does not seem to be fighting this.
As far as we know has been referred to CPS.
Bail due again soon. Will bail be renewed if awaiting CPS? Or does clock stop while CPS decide?
A year in and it has all hit me again and it feels just as bad as day of the knock!! I just feel I can't keep going, waiting, keeping my mask on my face and not letting anything slip!

Bail should not be extended beyond a year, unless there are exeptional circumstances, but it very much depends on the local police force and how they operate.
Is there a fairly typical amount of time for bail? So far he is on the second lot of 3 months (so it will be 6 months at the next answer date)?

They can extend bail up to 3 times in the police station, to a total of 9 months, then have to request further extensions throhhh magistrates court. Seems some do that and further extend it, others RUI (release under investigation). Not sure why.
Bail has been extended by local police and last time via court and again this week application to court for 3 months to October. So this week marks a year on bail.
not getting anything from police and solicitor is just leaving police to get on with things.
My person has stuck to bail conditions as never had police in anything and doesn't want to risk any issues with police or social services.
I just feel so out of any control. A year on and no further forward and no help if police are contacted. SS were awful but did a plan and disappeared even though said would keep in touch. It's like living in a parallel world with no answers and we can't get out of here!!
