Has anyone got any experience how to receive devices back after no further action?

Officer seems to ignore us .

Lawyer closed case after NFA.

We issued official written note - no reply.

Is there any option to claim compensation for keeping device for nearly 4 years. Nothing was found of course.

Can anyone put me in proper direction regarding compensation for arrest/ knock/ unlawfull seizing of devices and holding them for enormously long time ?

Thank you

Have you called the helpline? They may know the answer.

The officer might have moved departments. Do you have paperwork stating what devices were seized and then paperwork for the NFA? Your person could take them to the local station and ask them to make contact with whichever department stores devices. Without the paperwork he might struggle to get them back xxx

We have list of seized items.

We dont have any paperwork from police or CPS. We were called by the officer and informed about NFA.

We have confirmation only from solicitors that case was closed.

I think he should take the list of seized items and the name of the officer who called with the NFA and on what date to the local station and ask for advice. Sometimes they give a number to the department to call for the return of devices. They check the name against their records and arrange for the items to go to the local station to be collected xxx

I didn't have a list of the items as I wasn't at home at the time of the knock. Husband went to prison. I'm in Scotland so contacted the Procurator Fiscal who advised the items should have been released. They chased it up and I was then contacted to collect them from. The local police station - which wasn't a pleasant experience. When I went through everything (some of the stuff was mine) I realised several SD cards were missing so I had to go back to collect them
