Finding images during investigation, would they tell you?

At what part in the investigation while on bail do they include extra charges? Say if it's a chat offence and police find images during the device review then would they come and say they have found images?
Only asking because in our case the police investigation timeline says "device reviews have been completed". But I can't see any mention of images or anything they have found just that they are "completing enquiries regarding the allegation ".
So I was wondering if they found images then would they have put down extra bail conditions curtailing online use?, or do they keep total hush on anything they find and drop everything on you at the 2nd interview?
Would be strange to think if they find images you'd have thought they would come back and restrict online use and not leave that person open to more image downloads if they are suspected of downloading/possessing.
Device reviews were completed in April.

In my case ir is ex husband (prior to this) but children's father the infotmation I receive is therefore limited but his was downloads and as far as I aware there are no internet restrictions in his bail conditions - which I have seen - unless would they be somewhere else?
How/where do you view the timeline - would that be something my ex gets to see but I don't?

My son was told that his devices were clear and he was able to go and collect them.
Swlj this "timeline" of the investigation is shown in the magistrates bail extension application. They send him a copy of the application.
It highlights the timeline of all the things done so far since last application along with estimates of when investgation is completed. Basically gives you an idea of how it's progressing.

That's interesting to know, thank you. He didn't bother to tell me he knew his bail had been extended earlier than the first answer date. I was waiting for the date to come but I asked him about it a couple of days prior and he told me very casually, oh that has already been done (extended).
I'm sorry I can't help much with your query other than I am not aware of any internet restrictions he has even though his was a download issue, and I have seen a formal list of the bail conditions (i.e not come from him as that wouldn't be a reliable source).
P.s how many extensions have you had ? He has had one extension so far.

We are now six extensions in via magistrates. You don't get magistrates extensions until after nine months of superintendent approved extensions. Arrest was July 2024 for a sexual chat to a minor.
So for us. My hudband was originally arrested for distributing 2 images. When they got the evidence back he was called back for interview where they told him they would be charging him for pocession and distribution at the end of interview i believe. He was later sentence to distribution and pocession of IIOCs. He called me straight after to tell me the news. I was at work so its a bit fuzzy as this was last year too.
In our case he was initially arrested for communication (was a decoy). After 3 bail extensions he was called back for charging at which point they re-arrested him and questioned him about 2 images found on the device. He was finally charged with communication and possession.
Was he able to have his solicitor with him for that interview? We're due back for bail extension next week but it's the 9 month point and file has gone to CPS so we're expecting could be charged but would want our solicitor there not the duty one. Do they give any advanced warning that they'll be charging and to bring solicitor?
Yes they do give warning. In our case he had a couple of days warning if I remember correctly, so could have taken solicitor. Ours was hundreds of miles away and was costing us a fortune anyway so hubby went alone. Charging is very procedural though so not a lot the solicitor could have done. They just handed him the paperwork/ charges.
Oh may have misunderstood. But yes warning was given for 2nd interview too. Solicitor did go to that.
