Cutting my mum off

My brother has been recalled to prison for doing the same thing again. This is the 3rd knock we've had. He lives with my mum and again she's still supporting him.
Before he got recalled we were a close family and did things as a family together until the last few months because my brother retreated and withdrew himself (obviously because he'd rather be in his bedroom doing what he's been convicted for).
Since he's done this again I have such resentment for him. I don't want a relationship with him at all but this is going to mean I don't have a relationship with my mum either. She absolutely dotes on him and every time I see her it makes me so resentful of her too. I said I would support him through the first time but if it happened again I would not support him or have a relationship with him. He hasn't changed or tried to rehabilitate himself, clearly.
The affect that his actions have had on my life ever since I was a child (I was also a victim, as were my friends but nobody knows about this) have now all hit me at once and I'm struggling to see how me and my mum can have any relationship while she's supporting him. She defends him and feels sorry for him while I feel repulsed. She doesn't want to talk about it but it's like the elephant in the room.
How do I come to terms with the fact of not having a relationship with my mum? Thanks in advance!

Sorry for all the hurt this is causing. Might seeing a therapist be supportive for you as you move forward?
