Recall Nightmare

My person had an inappropriate conversation with a minor and mithered them for photos. (No photos were exchanged thank God) He received a 3 and a half year sentence.
He came home at the beginning of the year on SOR for life and Shpo. He did well, didn't miss any probations and attended and completed his program. Started eating healthily and attending a gym every day. (Wasn't aware he had to tell Shpo) Then he gets a phonecall from Shpo saying he has called the gym and informed them of his record, so he must stop attending and only go to a gym that he approves
. Fine. Next thing he texts an old friend (adult) He's told he can't speak to them. And can only talk to people he approves as they need to determine if this person is vulnerable or if they need to inform them of his record. Fine My person blocked them
. At this point my person requested all the Shpo rules and stuff on paper as he had never had them. So being rather isolated he get into watching people play games on you tube. Unfortunately (with police software on his phone ) He watches people live streaming their gameplay on twitch and kik...(Not realizing they were classed as social media)
Next thing my house is being searched and He's arrested (recalled) He's not good.hes been scared about going back in he .was constantly sobbing, he was so paranoid about doing something wrong.
From the outset he has told me he hates speaking to Shpo as he speaks to him like dirt, makes him anxious. Has an attitude, I told my person to politely ask him to speak to him like a human being. Anyway as he's arrested I sit on the sofa upset and sobbing. The Shpo takes his camera out of his bag and starts pointing it at me. I told him to get the camera out of my face.
Fast forward he goes to court for the game watching. Has 56 days but Shpo is pushing for next December release.
Fast forward two days I have a trio of police officers in a van banging the hell out of the front door at 7.30 this morning. I opened it to find them asking for bean and I told them he had been recalled and was in HMP L#?#. They didn't believe me! I argued for a few minutes then they said they would have to search the house just in case he was here. So they searched every room. (Couldn't they just have radioed to the station to check ? ) As I'm going downstairs I'm shaking my head in disbelief! The police officer turned to me and said Don't shake your head! It's because of YOUR son's bad behaviour we are here! (That hurt). ..Then they left! I used to respect the police back in the day.....
I'm totally exhausted with it all and emotional. Initially .. ,I think they were there either to recall him or grab him because his software has stopped on his phone. (Obviously because it's locked away, but these idiots don't know that)....They should learn to communicate effectively instead of harassing emotionally fueled relatives. Don't they know we suffer through this as well.
As a side note I was researching the recall last night. From what I understand they have to find something else that he has done to keep him beyond the 56 days. They have his phone , I am confident they won't find anything on there. Think I'm living on planet zog right now. Whatever happened to reasonable ordinary professionals.
Even the solicitor said on the scale of breaches this falls in the low end as it was a misunderstanding on his part that it was social media and that there had been many others that had made the same mistake.

Oh Anxiety, that’s an enormous amount of trauma to be carrying, and it makes complete sense that you’re exhausted and emotional right now. I can only imagine how a recall, especially for what you feel was a minor breach, must hit you like a punch to the chest. It’s sudden, frightening, and it rips away any sense of stability you were starting to rebuild.
I’m here because of my son too, so I understand that fierce, unconditional love that never wavers, no matter how old they are. I know the way your heart sits in your throat, the constant anxiety, and the way you end up living every part of this journey right alongside them. It’s exhausting, and it’s heartbreaking, and it’s something only another mum in this situation truly understands.
Please be gentle with yourself. What you’re feeling is a natural response of a mum who loves her child deeply and has been thrown into yet another storm she didn’t choose.
You’re not on your own in this.

Ocean i am so grateful for your response, you have no idea, your right, you do go through it with them, worrying, your stomach flipping, wanting to do everything right. Being nervous everytime they look or text on their phone.
Trying to look after your own needs whilst keeping your sons mental health above water. If only there were professionals that treat us like human beings and not sub human and the mother of a subhuman.
To think that an innappropriate online conversation can cause such devastation not only to the victim of course, but to the guilty and their family. This journey for me has been soul destroying. Everytime the door knocks now Im jumping out of my skin.
Its also so isolating, its not like you can have a natter with your nextdoor neighbour over the fence or anything...
My son faces life on SOR and indefinate SHPO, I wonder how the hell he is going to have a normal life. Job,wife, children....Its all now so much more complicated if not impossible.
Anyway thanks again for replying, at least Im not alone in this madness. xx

Hi Anxiety, I completely understand those worries, I’m still working through many of the same feelings myself. I found an organisation called Talking Forward helpful https://www.talkingforward.co.uk/meet-the-team. They offer online peer?support groups and also run some really good online workshops that can help you feel more informed and supported.
You’re not alone in these feelings, even though it can often feel that way. There are places and people who can walk alongside you while you navigate all of this.
